The dewatering efficiency and cleaning condition of the vacuum pick-up roll directly affect sheet quality and the roll maintenance cycle. On many paper machines, vacuum pick-up rolls have to be removed from the machine for manual cleaning after only 3 to 4 months of operation due to severe clogging of roll holes. This process is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and impairs the overall operating efficiency of the paper machine.
FM-INSIDE OUT is a reciprocating movable high-pressure water cleaning device installed inside the vacuum roll. Its nozzles spray high-pressure water outward from within the vacuum roll, passing through the holes to break down deposits accumulated inside the holes and flush them out.
